Just when you think the scale is moving down....

It freaking moves back up. I swear, I don't know why I weigh myself every day. I'm pathetic LOL. I should be used to this by now. Whenever I come on here and post about a new loss, the next day it's gone. What the hell. I should just stay quiet. There is no lesson in this post, really, just whining a little. It's cold and rainy, employees keep whining at me (stop whining when I want to whine darn it!!), and I guess that's it. but on the up side, I'm wearing Size 14 pants today...yipeeee!! That should be enough to shut me up. I'll stop now Sharon 272/194 (but 192.5 yesterday!)/140

So shaddup already!! () It is the number one reason why I do not step on the scale daily. For years I left that magic number dictate my mood, but no more!! Just know that in the end you're obviously loosing and doing great, so give yourself a break and step away from the scale for a few days. The weather out here is horrible too, 34 degrees, windy and driving rain turning to snow turning to rain turning to snow for the next week!! Just enough to make our hill of a driveway tricky, so we're parked at the top and have to walk down the sidewalk to get into the house, getting cold and soaked in the meantime!! (I'm spoiled by our garage). A size 14 is nothing to sneeze about and being in onderland is like a dream to me right now. Keep up the good work!! And stay warm...and get back to work or your employees will keep whining!!

LOL Sharon, dont you HATE whem people whine on your whiney parade?? Gah, annoying. *HUGSHUGS* avoid that nasty scale!! Stick it under the couch and ONLY pull it out on your monthy surgery anniversary, or at worst, once a week or so! I have finally broken my mom of her daily scale addiction that used to run her life. Every single day is affected by a billion things (As you well know, I aint preachin to the choir here hehe) so just stop torturing yourself woman! HEhehe, but I so co-miserate with you. **** hugs**** I can't offer much help, but I can tell you what Jim has been doing to keep from going scale-nuts- well, he's actually forced to do this. There are no personal scales that go up high enough to weigh him, yet, so we are forced to trek to a nutritionist's office whenever he wants to get weighed, which is basically twice a month- once mid-month and once at his official X-month anniversary. It's certainly helped keep him from focusing too much on the scale. Might want to think about tossing out the scale (or at least hiding it from yourself ) and utilizing the (much more accurate) scales at a local nutritionist's office- it may help balance out those up and downs and save your sanity in the process Brandi

Baby, you just whine away...I sure did my share of Boo-Hooing yesterday with my stinking scales going all wonky on me - still haven't decided whether to torch them or take a sledge hammer to them - they're in the trash can though. Size 14 pants though - that's a heck of a reason to shout from the rooftops. Hugs, Maureen

Ditto to what Denise said. Don't let yourself be controled by that damn box..... it just lies to you half the time anyway. My method of weighing is simple...... I weigh myself when I go to the doctor for a followup... and I weigh myself, when I feel another notch being used on my belt. that's just about it. I definately don't worry about what it's going to say though, I've lost well enough, that I'm thrilled, and if I go through a couple month slowdown now, then no problemo! BTW Sharon..... YOU LOOK GREAT, the number is just a number, but I gotta say it, I almost didn't recognize you in the new pic that you use here. Keep it up, and like the song goes...... The only way I could break my addiction and mood predictor of a scale was to leave it at my moms. She doesn't have a problem with it but I understand that my dad is another story and he fluctuates about 10 lbs, but has always been a healthy weight. Go figure. Happy Turkey day to all Elaine
