Not yet but shortly. I met with the endocrinologist about a month ago and agreed to start Prolia. I've been talking to my PCP about it for a while but had to see a specialist. I did two courses of Reclast about 6 years ago but it didn't work.
I had my annual labs done about 3 months ago and but have to have another Vit D and CMP labs done. She never said anything about a low calcium number. Mine is based on my latest bone density. The endo thinks that Prolia is the right next step.

Im afraid I can't help with insurance information but Dr. Keshishian (Dr. K) is/was my surgeon and he is brilliant. If you can get to California, I would 100% recommend him and the hospital (Huntington Hospital) completely!
How exciting to be back on track-congrats on the new start! I will ask my Surgeon about the type- I believe it meant traditional but I need to confirm. Thankyou for the suggestion! Let's stay in touch. I would like to hear about your journey ?
I had the Gastric Sleeve in 4/2014 and lost 75lbs. SW 300lbs. Then I got pregnant in Mid 2015 and I gained all the weight back within 5 years. I did the Traditional Duodenal Switch in Feb 2021. I am down 31lbs so far & I also had a 2 week Stall as well so definitely good weight loss so far! Make sure you ask the Surgeon if it's the Traditional DS. There are other Modified DS procedures which are relatively new in comparison to the Traditional with over 30+ years with the best tracking record.
I started at 314 and got down to 260. For the next 8 years I maintained from 260-270. This last year everything changed. I have gained 12 lbs and I have been frustrated with myself. I started to walk and drink more water but it wasn't enough to get my body restarted. Today my surgeon suggested I do a revision- the duodenal switch. I told him I know I need help but I feared the insurance would deny it.
Any suggestions and/ or support is appreciated!!
I'm back and going to try again?
DEENEWME Change is inevitable - except from a vending machine.
If this feeling lasts for 2 days, then of course, call the ambulance! Look, if you feel bad for so long than of course go and see a doctor. If there is no pain and it is not an emergency then ask someone to take you to the hospital. But please, don't stay at home and don't hope that the pain will go away. This are the symptoms, and you should not hide them. So I think that it is in your interest to go to a place where professionals can help you, to a place that is equipped with medical equipment, and where you will be given the correct medication. Best of luck and stay healthy!
Greetings
Still trying to get Prolia after 2 years of Fortero. I've had 2 wrist fractures. My endo is waiting for my calcium to increase before giving Prolia. Anyone else have experience with Prolia
Thanks in advance

It's undigested fat that happens if you eat too much fat. For me cheese and ice cream are the usual culprits. I eat both everyday but I'd I OD, the oil slicks kick in.
