You sound like you'll be fine :-). Hey, there's always MORE to learn. Google Scholar is your friend, go there and put in "duodenal switch" and you could be occupied for weeks. (Of course, you get the stupid crap that way, too, so it pays to be a critical reader, but that's a given.)

He is a known entity here. Several satisfied patients have posted in the years I've been involved here.
What's important is that you get good nutritional information and followup, and he's NOT going to do that. Learning about DS nutrition will be your own responsibility. You are highly likely to get RNY-based information from the practice (most practices do that), and it is all totally wrong for the DS (with the exception of the need to control carb intake). That's where this board is invaluable. I hope you'll be able to make great use of the hundreds of pages of information here, since you've already made such a terrific start :-).
Have you read www.dsfacts.com yet?

Now the rocket scientist has deleted his moronic edits. Like THAT will improve his chances of folks forgetting what he's like?
Newsflash Mr. Genius: What MIGHT help is a mass unblocking and a sincere apology, followed by significantly changed behavior. Oh yeah, and a special apology for using a Bible verse instead of the FUCK YOU that you clearly INTENDED to say.

You sound perfectly normal to me. Keep pushing the fluids and don't worry about swallowing any pills.

Are you connected to the PADS group? You need them. If you are following your surgeon's or hospital's aftercare program, it is deficient in every possible area.

Topic: RE: Big old belly flaps/redistribution? Fat? Skin? How to tell?
Meh. I'm five years out and STILL redistributing to some degree.
Don't have any reconstructions of any kind till you're done with having kids.

He doesn't want help. He wants investors to finance his magic potion. He and a certain NUT from TX will just save all us poor DSers with their, um, brilliance.

That's me, sew meen doncha know.
Hey, Mister Genius ran a half marathon. That must mean he really KNOWS something about nutrition, right?

Topic: RE: Yo Caprice!
Perhaps he was but a troll, here to recruit investors for his supplement scheme.

Topic: RE: Yo Caprice!
Yup. That's okay, he can go rot his bones and get his ass kissed by the lonely hearts club on FB.

Topic: RE: Yo Caprice!
Oh hell no. YOU have to be the strong one and go along with the pretense that the rewritten history is the REAL history. Bite your tongue clean off, but confirm the lies.

Topic: RE: ? for those who had a full tummy tuck
Thus far you sound pretty normal to me. My hernia repair/TT was far and away the toughest recovery I've ever had.

Topic: RE: Yo Caprice!
You were right AGAIN!
Oh well, I don't have to watch another uneducable one kill themselves. No skin off my nose.

Febreze the upholstery and the spray well inside with Ozium. Let it sit for a couple hours that way, then open all the doors and air it out.
Welcome to the world of multiple flushes. That's totally normal.

Perhaps he is educable. I will continue to hope.

You're going to have to give more information before we can give any suggestions.
