2 weeks post op
Dr Erbella and Dr Bunch are lifesavers, I am two weeks post-op and feel great already. I lost 10 lbs on my pre-op diet and 15 more since the surgery, that's a total of 25 pounds in three weeks. I had the surgery in the morning, by the evening I was well enough to walk to a seminar they where having that day. Everyone at his office and at Manatee Memorial where very caring and supportive threw out my journey. I can't say enough about the care I received.
If any of you are thinking about the LapBand......DO IT
The post-op pain was only bad the first night, mostly gas cramps. The incisions them self didn't hurt at all. I had some shoulder pain, which they say is common from the anesthesia.
By the third day I was no longer taking any pain medication. I could have return to work after a week...but I'm in no hurry LOL
I think the hardest part is when I smell the neighbors barbecuing, but I'm so pump up with the results it just don't matter.
Juan - Congrats on your surgery! Welcome to our club and stay positive!
You're welcomed to join us @ The former Cleveland Clinic on Pine Ridge Road for our 3oz club meetings - they are held on the 3rd tuesday of each month and it's a way for pre/post ops to meet and share some incite.
I'm coming up on my 1 yr anniversary on the 30th - and while I have had some complications, I'm most grateful to our Lord God and Savior and to Dr Rosenthal for helping me get back on my feet.
Please be good to yourself and follow your doctors ordered. Don't over do it. We all tend to have this incredible energy right at the begining but we can harm ourselves by trying to do to much. So take care.
Congrats again and feel free to keep in touch. I also live in Naples.
