Let us hear from you!   Go to www.rubycruises.com, and in the upper right hand corner, you may pre-register (at no cost) for next year’s Ruby Cruises 2008 Cruise to Lose!  It will be once again on Mariner of the Seas, sailing on a week long adventure to the Western Caribbean (Labadee, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel) from Port Canaveral, near Orlando, departing September 7th.  I am still working on securing the best pricing with our Royal Caribbean National Account Manager, but I do guarantee the lowest prices available.

More details coming soon, but so far, it looks like in addition to our bariatric team of professionals, we will also have a plastic surgeon and fitness instructor working with our group!

Lots of fun and excitement for old friends and new!  All are welcome, so fill out your pre-registration form today!   ~ Terri

I sure as heck wish I could have been going THIS year Terri but since I don't even have insurance approval yet, my surgery date is still a little iffy. I have a feeling that I will hear very soon and that I WILL be approved AND that my surgery date will be all set for August 13th. But still... I think the end of September is pushing it a little so I will have to wait until next year. I just went and pre registered for 2008 though. Can't wait to hear how it goes this year!   -Marianne C.

Marianne!! I have some catching up to do with my "in" box, because there's some correspondence from you that I NEED to reply to!  I've read about what's going on with you.....you are definitely one step closer...HURRAY!!!  I know that this is the "nerve-wracking" part for you, but just try to remember that it's all happening this way for a reason.  I sure don't have to tell you of all people!   I didn't make the last support group meeting because Greg was in the hospital with peritinitis!  Long story, but suffice it to say that for the first day and a half (he got sick on Friday), I was at his bedsie 24/7, and that Saturday was the meeting.  It was a crazy ordeal, and as you also personally know, the whole situation is such a roller coaster.  BUT...we DID get some good news last Friday - his treatments are apparently working pretty well, because it's more than 50% gone!  I have been an absolute basket case with everything, between Greg's issues, Amanda's child-birth classes and preparation (you should see her NOW! LOL - she's even rounder and cuter!!).  My last class of the summer semester ends Monday night, and the last few weeks have been "time challenging" for me to say the least, so I have to work like there's no tomorrow on THAT.....and then there's THIS year's cruise and NEXT year's cruise, another HUGE local (NON-profit - for anyone who might question my integrity as was done here on this very forum yesterday! LOL), and needless to say, I am stretched to the max right now.  But it's all good, I'm sure....I trust in the Lord, and I know I am being led down this path for a reason. As far as the cruise goes, think of it this way:  By the 2008 cruise, you will be pretty close to, if not AT your goal!!! WOOO HOOOOO!!  You will be better off all the way around.  In fact I just spoke with Dr. Gonzalvo on Friday, and I know you are going to be so pleased with him as your surgeon!  One thing - if they offer doing the surgery at Mease Countryside, GO FOR IT!  I've been in and out of there with Amanda and her OB appointments and childbirthing classes etc., and was reminded again how NICE that facility is - better than the downtown hospital where I had mine,  AND, it's so much closer to you.  McMullen Booth/East Lake Rd. is a lot easier and less bumpy ride home post op than South Ft. Harrison! LOL!! I have lots more to say to you, and as soon as things calm down a little here, I'll be in touch!!  Keep me posted in the mean time though!! I'll be talking to you soon, Marianne!   ~ Terri
