Third Re-Birthday

Thursday marked my third year as a RNY post-op. I so wanted to post that day, but I was visiting our new St. Augustine office and was too tired that night. Some may remember that my father died two days before my RNY, so it was an emotionally exhausting week. 161 pounds gone, sometimes it just seems so surreal!

I think about my life pre-surgery and compare it to now. That's when I realize that I wasn't really living, but going through the motions. It's unbelievable!

I am doing good, thanks.  I had my first fill the other week and instead of the 4 oz he wanted to put in, I had to do 3.  The barium with 4 oz. was not going down my esophagus.  Very weird feeling.  I have lost a total of 26 lbs with pre op and post op dieting.  I sometimes get upset, because I feel like I can probably be losing more, but some days I am just too tired to work out more than 30 minutes.  I have to go back on my bday, Nov 29th.  Maybe I will see you then.  Take care!

Congrats on your 3rd year out...I had mine 9/29 but didn't make a big deal about it. I am grateful for what happened but there are times when are things take precedent and I don't care.
