Topic: RE: Help-vomiting 3weeks post op
Actually that's not necessarily accurate. My husband is 9 months post op and is still throwing up. It turns out he had gall stones, one the size of a gulf ball by the time they found it by accident doing x-rays for kidney surgery, and a dozen more small ones. A very probable side effect of bypass surgery. We were not informed of this possibility and he has suffered needlessly for months now. He also developed kidney stones that required surgery, another probability of the surgery. If the vomiting or indigestion continue make someone listen!

My insurance co. Health Net made me to a medically supervised weight loss program for three months. That will give your ins. co. what ziethey are looking for, documentation.
Hope this helps,

Topic: Question about carbs!
Anyone know the recommended amount of carbs we should be getting a day? I try to avoid "them" (bread, pasta, rice, etc...) like the plague and haven't had any since I've had my surgery but come to find out, pretty much anything that isn't a meat is a carb (lol seriously had no idea).
I tend to eat a ton of veggies/fruit daily because its the only thing that really appeals to me and you feel like you're eating a ton (chewing any kind of veggie/fruit makes them condense greatly which means I can fill a regular sized bowl with broccoli and actually sit there and fini**** -- awesome!) So basically I need to figure out what my carb intake should be daily. Is there a limit on good carbs? So confused! I'd call my nutritionist but shes out of town for the week.
