Anyone on here had Dr. Steinberg as a surgeon?

If so, what did you think of the process, him, his staff, how they handled insurance?  I'm looking to get a lil more personal other than the reviews. 

I went to his seminar. Director of Surgery for Dekalb Medical.  Impressed - not that it's a Northside, but it's not Atlanta Medical either.  His seminar was very informative and he seemed really affable and patient with our questions.

Just wondering about anyone else's experiences - esp. the insurance part.  I have 2 more seminars/surgeons to see.

No personal experience, but 3 of my girlfriends had WLS surgery with him and all speak very highly of him.  SInce they work where I do, they have BCBS insurance and had absolutely no issues.

I have Aetna,and your doc isn't on my plan.  I was a mad person checking for surgeons on Aetna's plan.

EXCELLENT choice, he was my surgeon when I was getting RNY. I was all in the process and stopped when I decided to have the DS. Wish he did the DS bc I would of used him.

I can't tell you much about the weight loss surgery process with him but he repaired my hernia and I really liked him.  He is doing my weight maintainance now and I think he is great.  I like his staff. 

Dr. Steinberg is a very great doctor. Has is involved and concerned about any question or problems you may have. I never had any problems with him at all. I would happily refer any of my family and friends to him. By the way his staff is also awesome.

He ia a great doctor. He did my surgery on 2/26/09. I've lost over 30 lbs. in 2 months. you can check my progress out on youtube under the name blakkandi I have posted videos of my progress.
