I am home !!!
Sweating? Oh my, YES! I had my hubby to help me sponge myself clean everyday and he'd do my hair. I would sit in a chair side ways by the tub and lean back while he washed it. It wasn't comfy to do but felt great to have clean hair. Do u do the fragmin shots in your belly? I had to do those 1 time a day for 10 days and they bruised me bad. I also wore that brace thing for 3 weeks or so. I wore it on the outside of my gowns (I lived in big baggy gowns for a few weeks, lol). U r weak and of course sore. But little by little it will get better. Do u have staples? Thank goodness I didn't . I figured with the open surgery I would but I woke up with steristrips. Little pieces of tape up and down my scar, covering it. They fell off on their own a few weeks later. I got my drain with that bottle out after 2 weeks. The home health nurse came out once a week for 2 weeks and she took it out. Then at my 3 week check up they took out the g tube drain. Neither hurt coming out, just made me nauseous. I took a shower after that 3 week thing. I had to wait until the drain holes scabbed over. But u can ask your dr and see when u can shower. My first shower after surgery, OH, I stayed in there probably 45 mins. It felt great. Well, I hope today is a better day for u and I know u miss your daughter. Take care and get well!
Hugs

I will probably be in and out of here today. When Adam, my DH, is home I am mostly with him and the kids. But if ya need me I will be checking here on and off. Gotta go to Bowling Green tonight to pick up my stepson so he can spend some summer with us!

Yeah, those fragmin injections are so much fun. I think they do that to make sure that they made your entire abdominal area bruised, not part of it lol. I have a binder, but it hurts so bad to wear it. Plus it takes two people to put it on me and I am home alone, I took it off in the hospital and oh what a difference. Can't wait til Tuesday for the drain to come out. I also have steristrips no staples, so I think after the tube is out that I will be able to cover everything good enough with tape to take a shower. My Mom laughed and told me to wrap a box ov seran wrap around my stomach. I walked out to check the mail last night and got a card from my daughter. I cried the whole time I was opening it. She had drew pictures and all kinds of stuff. Covered the whole envelope with care bear stickers. It was so cute.

LOL I think so too. My belly stayed bruised and that binder broke me out bad until I started wearing it on the outside. Oh that is so sweet. I know she misses u too. Just think a couple more days and she'll be home with ya. I'll think about ya tonight as we fly by exit 38 lol. We used to meet there but his ex whined about it so now we drive the extra 20 miles out of the way. Oh well. Its not much just to get to see James our son. Take care and I'll be home later tonight. I didn't want to go down there tonight by my hubby is whinning like a youngun wanting me to ride also. He's spoiled just like the kids, the cat and the dogs!
Take care of u!
Ange
You're eating pudding already? I think we're not allowed to eat pudding until the second or third week. I'll have to check my papers cuz I don't remember.
I'm sorry you had such a hard time but so relieved that you got good news on the biopsy. What happened when you got in bed that hurt you so badly? Was it just laying down? They told me that we can lay flat as we want but have to be sitting as upright as possible to get out of bed. I hope that pain is behind you now. Do you have someone with you at all there at home?
It's great to hear you're feeling better and I'm looking forward to seeing your posts about your progress.

Hey Gale, Yeah I get pudding. I had scrambled eggs and vegetable beef soup (drained of course) in the hospital before I come home. I don't have anyone staying with me, everyones schedules were just all mixed up, my daughter is staying with my parents. But I am doing alright. I feel much better today. The pain is still pretty bad and my whole stomach is bright blue and purple with bruising. But each day is getting better.

MAN ALIVE! You're eating FOOD?!? already? ...and scrambled eggs no less. I'm jealous.
I'm really glad to hear you're feeling better. I was concerned about the bed incident. I imagine it was a scary thing just having to go home alone. I worry about having to go to the bathroom here without my dh to help me. My dd already said she won't do it. BUT, hopefully I won't need help.
I'll be checking in to see how you're doing so don't be slack on your posts.
My surgery is Monday so I'll be away for a few days but hopefully be home on Wednesday.
Gale

Hello Angela,
I am sorry that you had a rough bout of it after your surgery, I hope that it gets better for you and soon!!
Keep your chin up and remember you did this to get your life back; think about your life and where you want it to go. Say it over and over again everytime you move and the pain is there.
I am pre-op, first seminar 6/12. You're in my thoughts and I am sending prayers and good vibes your way!
Take care,
Dee
