Question about insurance...

As everyone knows I am looking for insurance to cover this surgery...well...I have been contacted by a group called Design Savers Plan, if someone knows anything about this please let me know. They are not a insurance like Anthem or UHC they are a medical savings program. If anyone has anything on this or others like it let me know as soon as possible. Thank you, Angela

My husband has Cigna insurance & they also have HSA, health savings account. They put an amount in at the beginning of the year & he has an automatic withdrawl from his paycheck every week. The company issues checks & debit card on the account plus you earn interest. I use it for all prescriptions & Dr. bills. Does this sound like your plan?

I also have a similar plan. My employer takes pre-tax money out of my check and puts it into a flexible spending account that I use to cover medical expenses (co-pays, prescriptions, eyeglasses, etc.). Because it's pre-tax money, there is some savings. That sounds like the plan you might be describing, Angela. It's not insurance, but it will allow you some savings if you are self-pay (or you could use it for co-pays if you are insured). Kathy
