I FINALLY got a surgery date!!!

After waiting for over 4 years to have WLS I finally have a date!!! Woohoo!! On JULY 3rd I will be having the Lap RNY!! Dr. Jeff Allen is my surgeon, so I know I'm in good hands. I can't wait to be on the losing side!!! 3 weeks and counting..........

Stacie Congradulations on your date. If you are at all like me i was excited, nervous happy, scared, well you get just all kinds of emotions. I also had several people try to talk me out of it, but i had my mind made up. After waiting for four years i'm sure you are ready and are well informed. Congrats Stacie !!! I know you are excited after waiting 4 yrs. Dr Allen is a awesome Doctor. I am going to see him for the first time on June 23. I am wondering how long it usually takes ,after you see Dr before you get a surgery date? I am New on Here. so I will have alot of questions LOL. Take Care ,Linda

Stacie, Congrats! I am also going to Nortons. I have a seminar on Tuesday to attend. I attended the Seminar and completed and submitted paperwork to St. Mary's and Elizabeth Hosptial; however, they want $4000.00 up front before the surgery. This is why I am going to Nortons to see how their program works. I have Humana Insurance, and I am in my 4th month of physician supervised dieting that is a prerequisite for Humana. What is the Lap RNY. What is the difference in the LAP BAND? Thanks for you reply in advance! BeckY
