I went to see my wl surgeon on wed and he told me he could do a panni and tt for me when I am 15 months out. Is there anyone that has let there wl surgeon do this for them and how much did it cost? What was your result after the tt? Are you satisfied.

Yes, Tony I do, my thighs are horrible looking and its so depressing. I am 20# from my doc's goal. Some one told me to check out the Burn Center at UK, but I am unable to locate that phone #. I have a panni and lose skin around my adboman. My wt. loss doc says I have to remain stable for 3 months then I can have the TT, but who has $2800 for it and on disability, I sure don't. I am wondering if there is anyone out there that there wt. loss doc did their TT and panni.......still wondering....

Teresa, I have Ky Medicaid as my insurance and I was just about to post basically the same question when I came across your questions. Has anyone had anything other than a TT or panni done and have Medicaid cover it? I get awful rashes under my breasts and even though I have went down cup sizes, they still hang.....has anyone had medicaid cover a breast lift? I dont want implants and really dont need a reduction....but will do a reduction if it means getting rid of these awful itchy, smelly rashes!! I also get chaffed a lot in my strides where my thigh skin rubs together....and under my arms...I dont even want to talk about my arms...if I flap them hard enough I think I could fly away with these "batwings" My dear hubby says they are angel wings but the sores under my arm pits sure dont feel "Heavenly". Does anyone have the name and number of a surgeon in Ky that takes medicaid?

Rosanna..Dr. Sonnanstine in Florence, Ky accepts Kentucky medicaid..and I have heard of patients having a TT with that in insurance..however it's normailly a TT, I don't know anyone personally who had breast done and it was covered. But maybe someone out there has more information..

Hey Theresa..I think I answered you and Rosanna at the same time on that one, even I was confused looking back. Dr. Sonnanstine does not do plastic surgery...but there are some docs out there who do and he may in time. Right now he does not. I was told by Dr. Martin(plastic surgeon) here in Cincinnati that the rumor of the burns institute taking our skin is a myth. He stated that our skin is so stretched it is not usuable on burn victims. I remember someone in the crowd asking him that question and he does some work for the Shriners burns institute so I am sure he knows. Sorry for the confusion. Brenda
