lap band experience
Pamela,
Are you getting up and moving around alot? Cause you need to. Not a marathon or anything, but moving, you know? Or, have you been moving too much? Bending, stooping, lifting? If so, you probably shouldn't be doing that.
What position do you sleep in? Maybe you need to put a pillow under that side or something. I'm just guessing here, but I wouldn't be too worried about it just yet. It's only been, what, 6 days. It's probably going to be sore for a couple of weeks or so, depending on how much activity you are doing. Just make sure you get up and move around a little bit, but don't over do it, and drink your water, and use a pillow on top of your tummy to rest your arms on. That might help too.
Good Luck and Hugs to you!

Soreness can linger for weeks, but should get better day after day. The upper left incision site is where most of the work and manipulation of instruments takes place, and therefore is usually the most tender. As scar tissue forms inside there can be a burning or stinging feeling at times with certain positions.
If you develop a fever, body aches, shaking chills, pus like drainage, foul odor, increased redness/firmness at he the site ,you should call your surgeons office for further assessment.
