Diverticulum????ANYONE?

Hi, has anyone ever had a Diverticulum, in their throat? All I know about it is, that it is small pouches inside of your throat. When they scoped me, this is what they found, I also had to have a CT scan, where they put dye in my veins, and took x-ray's that is what confirmed it. I ask the nurse if it would keep me from having WLS and she said,she didn't think so . I go to the Doctor on 10-04-06, hopefully he will give me a good report. Leatha

Leatha, I haven't a clue what Diverticulum is, but it sounds just awful! I just wanted to let you know that I'm rooting for you and praying that whatever it is, you have a quick recovery! Leatha, I have never in my life heard of this! Diverticulum in the THROAT? Wow! Is it painful? Or, do you have reflux or anything like that along with it? Will they give you antibiotics for that -- like the do the stomach? Will they have to go in there and scrape it or anything? This is very interesting and brings about lots of questions. Hi everyone, I went to see Dr. Wheeler, Wednesday Oct. 4th, he said there really isn't very much you can do about it, if I ever started spitting up blood, he could go in and repair it, but for now, I am OK, plus it will not interfere with surgery! YEAH!! I probably got it years ago when I was in my auto accident, he said it was probably trauma, I was hurt pretty bad in that area, I had broken ribs and a broken back, so he thinks that is where it came from. One of the side affect is, that some times your food sorta hangs there, and it is hard to swallow, and another thing is, your voice gets hoards. But look on the bright side, it gives me a low sexy voice at times! ha! Oh, the best part of my Doctor visit was I passed all of my test and exams they put me through!!! And now I go Oct.17 for a 3 hour class to see if I know what I am getting myself into, and if I pass all of the test. I will have an one hour class, then a test, and on and on, after every class there will be a test, Then I will see Dr. Wheeler within that week and he will give me a date to have the filter put in, usually with in a week, and on that day, after he puts in the filter, I will get a date!!! WOW!! Things are starting to go FAST! I CAN'T WAIT! Leatha
