2 Weeks Post-Op!
I had my 2 week post-op visit with Dr. Steiner on Monday and I've lost....drum roll please......
18 pounds!!!!!
I have lost 18lbs since my surgery date and a total of 30lbs since I first went to St. Joes Bariatric Center.
I can't believe it! Well maybe I can--I don't know.
I am free and clear to go back to the pool and the doc gave me permission to start introducing solids back into my diet. (slowly, of course)
I feel, well, awesome!
Dee
P.S.
They moved up my hubby's date to October 23rd! He is really excited and I'm happy for him with a smidgeon of nervousness. Dr. Steiner rocks and I have complete faith in his abilities; I'm just a worry wart and all.
Also, I'm sorry that I've not written on the boards the last few days, but I've been having internet trouble and not been able to post.
I hope everyone is doing well---

Congrats on the loss!!!! That is awesome. I had also lost 18lbs in the first 2 weeks... its such a great feeling... as the weeks go by.....the weight drops more and more... Its so much fun to get on the scale now lol
Also congrats on hubby's date! Please keep us informed on the progress you both are making

Girl lol I cant wait to hit goal... I just wish I could see the entire loss... I can see it a bit.....but im like a size or 2 away from my hubby and i definately dont see that... actually im like 20lbs more than he is give or take...
Anyway... do you think I will ever see it? Maybe after I can get some plastics done I will see it lol
Thanks darlin you look great yourself! congrats on your sucess!!!
Thank you dear hubby! You're going to do great too!
Sarah, it is an awesome feeling to finally see the weight going down, isn't it?!! I was estatic, because I had convinced myself that the surgery wasn't working. The scale showed me that it was. I was relieved and given a little hope.
Mark, I didn't realize that you were a patient of St. Joes East. They are awesome, aren't they? I really like it there and feel that I'm going to do well. Are you going to go to their ball? I'm thinking that I want to go; heh, why not? It sounds as though it's going to be a lot of fun. I hope you go and we can meet. I'm glad that you're doing well too with your surgery. St. Joes East is just a great place to trust. They really look out for you.
Thanks everyone!
Dee

Hi Dee, I am Sarah's aunt. I jumped in first and now my entire family is having the surgery. October17 will be one year for me. I am 6 pounds from goal. Time flies. Take lots of pictures and journal. When you look back its hard to believe. It's great to hear you are a loser!!!!! Good luck to your husband. The support from family makes all the difference in the world. I know, I have a wonderful support system.
Take care
