Wellbutrin vs Lexapro
Gooooood morning!
It's a "jeans day" at work (we normally wear business casual) so I'm in my sneakers and favorite pair of jeans. It may be cold outside, but this makes my day so much better.
So I went to see my primary care doc this morning for my monthly appointment. Among my many issues, I've been on Lexapro for a while. I was doing 10mg a day for a while, then we bumped it up to 20mg a day.
But I just wasn't feeling all that much better. I asked about Wellbutrin instead.
Today she has started me on 150mg/day of the WB and maintain the 20mg/day of the Lexapro. I'm supposed to take them together, instead of quitting the Lexapro.
Has anyone else heard of this or had to do it? I know they are different *types* of medicines so they work differently. I'm just curious.
Have a wonderful day!!

Hey. I know where you work, don't make me come hunt you down.

I am not sure about the built in tolerance hon. I will try the combo and see how it works. Gotta watch out for those pesky seizures, I read. Make me flop around on the floor like a fish outta water.
No insulin for me, supposed to be taking Glucophage but we phased it out.
Well...I phased it out. But my doc kinda just nodded and marked that down.
Back to work!
Ok, I have no clue about the drug combo.... but I had to jump in and see if Ryan realized that its farkin 29 degrees outside??????? You are gonna freeze to death if you wear shorts!
I used to be a shorts in the winter kinda girl and tonight.... freezing to death.... I added a 4th heavy blanket (electric) to my bed.... and my toes are still blocks of ice... I am never gonna survive when we get snow.

I don't know about the combination. However, I take Lexapro. I have been on it since August. At first, I didn't really notice a difference. Now, I think it is great! I was very emotional before taking it and now things don't bother me as much. I am sure that everyone takes it for a different reason. For me, it works great!
I agree with the other posts though. Follow what the Dr. says. She/He knows best. If it isn't working for you, follow up. Just give it some time. I know that with the Lexapro it took over a month for me to start feeling the difference.
why yes it is

I can't wait. Eventhough I will have to wait for March. BUT I told Katrina I would be there for her....
that way I can see what hurdles insurance has instore for us.
She is gonna try to get hers in January. I for one hope that she gets her surgery.
Hey Sarah I thought better of it. The boys didn't like the walk to the shower let alone putting shorts on and walking outside.
