I have spent a small fortune ordering different protein powders online.... then I saw body fortress at walmart for 12 bucks... and i thought what the hell lets try it... and I love it! I get the chocolate but they also make vanilla and a fruit punch flavor. I have no clue what those taste like but the chocolate tastes like chocolate milk to me. hope this helps Sarah

I definitely agree with Sarah... Body Fortress is cheap and has like 23 g. of protein per scoop and it tastes great.. Katrina

Hi Nikki, I liked the Atkins ADvantage shakes. They make Choc, Vanilla, Strawberry and Royal Choc. I did not care for the vanilla. These were actually the only shakes I could stomach. Be warned though, what you like now MAY NOT be what you like after surgery. Prior to surgery I really liked the GNC brand shake, but after surgery there was no way I could even smell it. Good luck on your surgery!

I went to www.baraticeating.com & they have a sampler basket for about $30. This gave me an idea what I like. Personaly my faves are IDS Belgium Chocolate & PVL whey gourment in Peanut Butter & Chocolate. The key for me was putting ice in it & make it thick like a milk shake. But sometimes after your surgery, things don't taste the same as they did before. I wish you the best Nikki on your surgery!!

Hi Nikki, I am with Sarah on this, I bought so many different kinds of protein and they either get foamy which makes me or thick which does the same thing. Soy protein makes me sick as well, I got some fortress whey at walmart and thought this might taste o****ill I get back to GNC. I really like it, I have no problem drinking it at all. Its the cheapest I have found ,plus I like it.

Hi Nikki I am testing Protein shakes as well. I like the Choc Unjury blended with a hand blender and some ice. I also have the unflavored Unjury (yeah right!! unflavored my booty) which i don't particularly care for. I have tried something called Nectar. I bought some sample packs at www.vitalady.com. I have tried to Roadside Lemonade blended with lemonade crystal light. It is really yummy. It has 33.4 gm of protein in it and it isn't milk based. That is why I like it!! You can sip on it through out the day and get alot of protein in. Nectar makes alot of other flavors such as Grape, Watermelon, strawberry kiwi....check it out. Its a nice alternative to those milky shakes.
