Surgery Date

Well folks, it looks like I'm going to be on the losing side sooner than expected. My surgery is Tuesday, Dec. 5th. I have to be there bright and early at 7:00 a.m. So, I'm assuming my surgery will be at 9:00 a.m. Dr. Allen is my new surgeon. I have never met him. Although I have heard he is THE best and the one who started this whole Bariatric thing in Louisville. So, I'm sure he will take good care of me. However, I am nervous!! I really loved Dr. Rodriguez!! It was a dissapointment when I found out he couldn't do it. I'm sure I'll lose the jitters once I talk to Dr. Allen on the morning of my surgery. So, scoot over all of you losers!!! Make room for one more bandster on the bench. Hugs & I hope everyone is doing well. Sharee

Congratulations on your date Sharee, I am glad it' s next week. Let us know when you get home and how your doing ok. Last year at this time I was waiting on their office to call me with a date. I waited and waited then called Dr Nighbert's office.

congrats Sharee!!!!!! That is great news have you got stuff ready? Don't believe Sarah, that bench can't be too warm, they are all the time complaining about being cold. Hopefully I will have a post like this in about 35-45 days depending on Ins approval. be ready for me I will bring some heat to that cold bench.

Thanks! I hope you hear sooner than that! I have been waiting almost a year for this!! I had lots of bumps in the road. ha ha I was beginning to think it would never happen. It's not Tuesday morning yet, so I'd better keep my fingers crossed. lol And, as far as the heat goes..... well, bring it on!! I"ve been cold since last weekend. We had my daughter a birthday party. It was outside! We had a bonfire and everything. It was fun!! But, I haven't been warm since!! If I keep this up, I'll be a popscicle before winter is over. ha ha Hugs Sharee

Hi Angela, Thanks! I haven't even met Dr. Allen yet, but have heard good things about him. And, yes, I do still need that angel. I will be at Norton's downtown, Tuesday, December 5, at 7:00 a.m. I'm assuming my surgery will be at 9:00 a.m. So, I should be ready for my swallow test Wednesday morning sometime after 9:00 a.m. I may be gone before you get there. ha ha What time were you going to be in Louisville on Wednesday? You're welcome to stop in, but you might want to call first to see if I have been discharged. (If I'm still there, I will be on the 4th Floor, in section 4K. They said all of their bariatric patients go there.) I'm not sure if Wayne will be with me Wednesday morning or not. Our daughter has a basketball game Tuesday night. He has to go back home Tuesday afternoon and go to that. They are introducing the parents and giving out roses. So, one of us needs to be there for her. I don't want Tyler to be standing alone with a rose in her hand. I'm not sure if he will be coming back Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. (Knowing him, it will be Tuesday night. I'm trying to talk him out of it because that's no place for him to be with all of his back problems. But, he's stubborn!) So, there may or may not be someone in the room to greet you, and no one to answer my calls if I'm not in the room. I don't know what time they will be taking me to x-ray for my swallow study. So, there's a chance you will miss me Wednesday morning. I was thinking of giving you my Mom's phone number, in case you tried to call the hospital and I wasn't in my room. She could give you an update. She is the one we will call to let know anything, because my kiddos will be calling and staying with her. (Hopefully I can get back to posting within a couple of days.) Just send me an e-mail & let me know if you would like to call the hospital, or you want me to give your my Mom's phone number. Well, I guess I will hear from you on Tuesday. Or, see/hear from you on Wednesday. (I think Wayne will be at the hospital as long as he can be, before going home Tuesday. So, you're welcome to call the hospital on Tuesday afternoon and talk with him. He doesn't have to be at the game until 5:30. Hi Angela, Thanks. I'll find the number. I'm a little pissed right now! My husband was supposed to bring home taco bell for my last but he didn't go out of his way to do it. I"m so sick and tired of being the one to always go out of my way for him and everyone else! I have been breaking my back for the past 3 days cleaning and doing laundry and you name it!! And, this is the thanks I get. I know this is going to be a battle I will be fighting all by myself, just like everything else in my life. I get no support from anyone here at home!! You would think they would be happy for me, but they don't give a ****! I"m just sick of it. So, tonight I will be having NOTHING to eat. It is already 9:00 and I have only three hours before I can't eat anything anyway. (Guess what he brought home? RALLY'S!!! F'N RALLY'S!!!!! I can't believe it!!) Sharee
