My husband and I will be spending the night in E'town, KY Friday night on our way to Ohio. I wonder if any of the locals could give me some tips on a good local restuarant where we could enjoy a nice dinner. We have a rule that when we're on trips we avoid franchise restaurants so I'm looking for something that is unique to the area. We prefer something a little upscale if that's possible. If not then something that's good basic homecooking type foods works too.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions. We can't wait to drive through the Christmas Lights display in E'town. Any other "must see" things you know about in the area that is available Friday night?
Thanks - DeeDee
Hey DeeDee, they just put in a Ruby Tuesdays maybe a year ago. They're pretty nice. Theres a Red Lobster over by the mall. Umm, O Charlies. Texas Outlaw, Texas Roadhouse. Umm, Thats about all the nicer ones I can think of, lol. U should drive thru Christmas in the Park, its beautiful. They fixed up lights around Freeman Lake and many different displays. Its on 31W close to Los Napoles Mexican Resturant. Have fun!
Head down to Covington, KY. off of I-75 Northbound, before you cross over to Cincinnati, OH. Get off at the 4th Street Ramp, go to two traffic lights, (stay in your right hand lane), at that second light turn right, you are on Main Street. There are a few nice quaint restaurants that should suit your needs. They are not franchise and they are very unique. Dee Felice is very nice, but I cant seem to remember the names of the others. There are four restaurants on the corner of Main and 5th street. They are in a quiet setting and I think for any out-of-towner, any of these places would be a special place for a good dinner.
