Well, today was my first post-op visit to the surgeon since my surgery on Dec. 5th. I'm feeling great and he said I was ahead of schedule! It wasn't really a WOW moment, but a YES! moment. ha ha Drum roll please...................I've lost 21 lbs!! YEA for me!!! LOL I've taken on Sarah's hobby of being a scale who*e. ha ha The only thing is, my scale differs from the doctor's office. So, it's still a surprise when I get on their scale. ha ha My next check up is January 18th at 9:00 a.m. I hope I do as well over the next few weeks!! Wish me luck, because I'm starting to get hungry a lot sooner after meals, but that will probably change now that I can move up to stage two of the diet. I hope so!! I don't eat beef, and haven't for 13 years, but I've been eyeballing it lately too.... ha ha So, that tells me, my buds are all messed up!! lol (taste buds) Oh well............at least I can say I don't even crave all that junky stuff I used to eat. (sweets) I can now officially eat mushies. ha ha We went out to eat after my appointment, to Frisches. I had some scrambled eggs with gravy on top, cottage cheese, a bite of applesauce, a bite of yogurt, and a few bites of potatoe soup. It was sooooo good!! It didn't even add up to a cup of food though. I drank a few sips of OJ as well. I had ice water too. (I only had a few teaspoons of each, so don't go thinking I pigged out! lol But, it felt like I did!!! ha ha) I watched other people eat, and eat, and eat, and thought to my self.... that used to be me. I felt like standing up and saying, stop shoving that garbage in your mouth!! LOL But, I was quiet and kept to myself. ha ha I also went Christmas shopping. I got it all done except for my son and his girlfriend. He (Derek) says he just wants money & to get his girlfriend (Danielle) a gift card from A&F. So, that's probably what I will do. It felt really good to get out, but the crowds were rediculous!! And, it had to be done. Nobody else around here is going to do it! Bunch of lazy whops!! But, I won't get on that band wagon right now........ ha ha I hope everyone is doing well & enjoying themselves this Christmas! If I don't get back here before Christmas, all of you have a merry one and a Happy New Year!! My thoughts and prayers go out to Ryan and his friends for their loss. I am so sorry!! I believe the loss of a child is the most terrible and traumatic thing a person could ever go through. It brings about questions that have no answers. The number one being, "Why?" But, only God has the answer to that. He must have needed them to fill a very special spot in heaven!! You have my deepest sympathies. Hugs & God Bless! Sharee
