What about taking protein tablets? Seems like a good idea in a pinch or busy day. What do you think??

I looked at some protein tablets and the ones I saw actually had very little protein in them. They listed the protein as milligrams rather than grams in most cases and it did seem like a lot of protein until I found that 1000 milligrams equals 1 gram. So a tablet with 2000 milligrams of protein is actually only 2 grams of protein. You'd have to take an awful lot of pills to get any benefit....and I'd rather just eat some chicken!

Thanks for that information Chris. I was considering getting Mike and I some protein tablets, but 2g's of P hardly seems worth the effort. I'm finding that Body Fortress (Wal Mart) and the Proto-diet hot chocolate that the surgery center sells is the best for me. It would be nice to have something convient and quick though. Dee

Hey Lorrie how are u feeling? I am okay. Having a little pain swallowing and upper right abd pain. I am going back to see Dr. Steiner today, he wants to check me out. I have eaten eggs a couple of times, cheese, and pureed fish about an ounce of it. Eating is kind of aggrevating because of the chewing, but it was nice to have some texture. Let me know how u are.
