I made it! And I am thrilled!
Hi everyone! I survived!! ha I had my surgery on Dec.28, I had a hard time, with the gas mainly, but I am doing just fine now, I was in KDMC for 6 days. But since I came home from the hospital I am only on a pain pill and stomach pill! Before the surgery I was on 23 pills a day! This is amazing, it is a miracle! I urge people to get out there and get your life back! Everyday counts, do it for you, and do it for your loved ones, start enjoying your lives. My sugar was never under 165 or 167, now without medicine, just one short week later it is down to between, 98- 105 !!!! This is without medicine! Yippeeeeee
I had my staples and drain tube(ouch) taken out Monday, then they weighed me..........I lost 24 pounds!!! I made then re-weigh me, cause I sure didn't think it was possible, but it was !!! I am so happy and grateful, that I am getting a second chance! And I know all of my prayers were answered that day ! Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers!

Congratulations Leatha!! 24 pounds is very, VERY impressive and I'm really happy for you as well as happy that you're doing so well. I know since my surgery, I've not had a blood sugar over 140, and even that was a 1hr after eating test. It's all amazing isn't it?
