Things got better for me after my 3rd month. I could eat most anything & I did & my weight loss stopped. I still watch my carbs & focus on protein. Remember that the more protein you take in, the more energy you'll have, & the more weight you'll loose. I use the protein shakes now more than ever. You'll get back on track!

At 5 months out I noticed that if I wanted to yes I could eat most anything but the thing is, I chose not to eat the stuff thats bad for me. My surgeon has his patients measure their meals in a 2 oz cup, for the first year we eat 2oz 3 times a day. Yes, back then if I ate a cookie it didn't make me sick but if I ate crap like that I wouldn't lose weight either. U have to work your pouch. The thing with my surgeon is he told us to take small bites, wait 5 mins or so and take another one. I did this and felt full with the amount I was supposed to eat. I can't speak for your dr cause they're all different. U gotta do whats right for u and what your dr says. Now that I'm at goal and have been for nearly a year I eat 4-5 oz 3 times a day. I've maintained my weight since March of 2006. I just have learned to make better food choices, no its not easy. My head still wants the stuff I used to eat but I know I shouldn't eat it cause I don't want to gain my weight back. U have to do what your dr says, eat the amount he says and make decisions u feel are right for u. Yes, I could eat that stuff but I choose not too. Plus after I got to goal sugars started making me dump and milk. I'm lactose intolerate now. I don't mind, I'd rather be thin than drink milk or eat crap. Its a battle we each have to fight every day. U haven't failed u just gotta up the water, protein and exercise. Thats all.
