Hi Tina, I was low on energy for the first 2-3 months but then it came back, I'd say it's either the Iron or your B12, not sure if the meds your taking would be causing it or not. If it continues I'd definately talk with your surgeon, keep us posted. take care.

I can tell you right now that you don't need 300mg of seroquel!!! 100 mg should be plenty, as long as you take it 1/2 hr before laying down. You have to go to bed though!! You can't stay up! If you're like me, you stay up and do things that keep you awake. I would try decreasing it, one pill at a time. But, ask your doctor first!!! I think all of the meds you are on have the side effect of dizziness/drowsiness. So, you may just have too much of that kind of med going in. It probably keeps you sleepy or tired. Keep taking the Paxil and the anafranil as your doctor prescribed. I don't know what trazodone is, so I can't tell you anything about that. But, I have taken the seroquel, and I had to stop because it made me too sleepy. I was so tired all of the time that I didn't do anything and had no energy. I would start with that. And, if you are taking ANY kind of sleep medication, you HAVE to get the required 8-10 hours of sleep and nothing less, or it will do that to you!! Are you getting the full hours of sleep? If not, try that first. Then call and talk to your doctor about the seroquel. It may just be too strong. How long have you been taking it? And, how much weight have you lost since you started taking it? It could be that you have lost so much weight that it needs to be lowered. That could be the case with the other meds too. My doctor has me on 2 PRENATAL vitamins a day, instead of a multivitamin. It has lots of the B vitamins in it. If you're not on prenatals, you might give that a try. You can also take Iron pills. There is one called Vitron C that someone was talking about. It has 200 mg of ferrous fumerate and 125 mg of Vitamin C for better absorption, and you only take one a day. Ask your doctor about that too. Are you getting in enough protein? If you have to, go back to drinking three protein shakes a day, along with the other things you eat, until you regain some energy. I'm just giving you ideas. Always talk to your doctor!! Make some of these suggestions, or comments and see what he says. Everyone's body is different, so the way my body reacts to medicines and supplements may be totally different from yours. But, the things I mentioned were just my experiences with them. Hope my ideas can help. Hugs Sharee Hope you feel better soon!!
