For those of you with small kids

Hello everyone , I am asking this question for a friend that is considering WLS, she has a very clingy 2 year old that needs to constantly be picked up or held. She was a preemie and she craves attention. My friend would like to know about how long it took for you to be able to pick up your 30lb toddler after surgery? Thanks for your input and I also really appreciate all of the info I have picked up on this board. Jeri

Hey Jeri, I'm thinking my surgeon's orders were not to pick up anything heavier than 10-15 lbs for something like 4-6 weeks. I didn't have a 30 lb toddler but I did come home to a 9 month old..lol What I done was have family members to pick him up for me, then I could hold him without adding any strain on myself. I have a cousin with the same name as yours lol havent seen this person in many years. hope you didnt mind me writting you it was just strange to see someone with same name.
