Hey everyone, Adam and I have been discussing where we want to take the kids on vacation next year. He's been to Disney World yrs ago with one of his "many" previous wives, lol, and he says its too crowded, he doesn't think we'd have a good time. I think they'd enjoy a day at Disney, I mean I've never been there but I hear theres rides and lots of stuff to do. Our son is 13 and he's going to Disney World with the school band this May so he might not want to return there in July. Allison is 5. I think she'd like it. We all love water. I'd be pretty happy on a beach somewhere that wasn't too crowded, I'm shy, not big on crowds especially if I have to be there in my swim suit lol. We've been to the smokies lots of times. One of Adams ex in laws live down there so he's been there alot more than me and he's burnt out. Any vacation ideas? We're planning it for the first week of July next year cause thats when his company shuts down for 2 weeks. I'm fairly easy to please. I love the oceans. I love the mountains. I think mainly Adam and the kids are wanting a ocean or the gulf in there somewhere so whats a good beach town to go to that is not overly crowded? Just to go and spend a few days on the sand, playing in the water, deep sea fishing? Hugs and thanks Ange

I know we want to go somewhere lol. Just not sure where. We normally take that time to go to my mother in laws up in Lake of the Ozarks Missouri. Its gorgeous up there also, the mountains, the lake. But I think its getting old for the kids and Adam. I enjoy anything that has either mountains or big bodys of water and lots of peace lol. I am sure we'd love Sea World also. I think theres an aquarium up in Newport Ky. I want to go up there sometime.

I really enjoy going to Myrtle Beach. The beach isn't nearly as crowded and there are tons of things to do there for all ages. Just a thought on something you might want to look into.

Angie if you came up this way you could spend a week doing things such as these, go to the zoo, stay at the new great wolf lodge, go to kings island, go to the aquarium, shoot maybe we could get a bowling trip going too. We're an 120 minute drive at the most, that means no are we there yet whine from the kids. but if not do what i am thinking of doing and either go to clearwater beach or south padre island.

U know of course that I am wanting to come up there to party with all u crazy people! But I don't think I'll bring the younguns, well maybe the 39 yr old one. I was hoping that in the near future when u get approved we might run up there and help u celebrate with everyone else. Bowling or whatever, it doesn't matter. I'd just be glad to meet all of u. I love Clearwater. I went there once with my mom and stepdad before he died, my stepsister lives near Tampa.

Hi Ange, I lived in Florida, Vero Beach, for 18 years, loved it. I think there are more things to do there then anywhere on earth, with the kids it is fun anywhere there, most places are for young to old, and we went to them all, but one thing I would tell you, July's heat is unbearable, especially in concrete and crowds, trust me on this, you will be complaining the whole time, and can't believe you spent that much money and didn't get to enjoy it! ha I would suggest going East or North at that time of year. You would have had a great time in March or April, in Florida. I hope this helped you out some. Leatha

U r right, I guess it would be hot down there that time of year. We don't have to go in July. Thats just when he has shut down at work. But he has loads of vacation days. We could just use a couple added on to a regular weekend and go in the spring. I guess we'll just have to see what happens. Thanks Ange

Hey Angie, How have ya been ? I havent talked to you in forever. I dont get the chance to get on as much as I use to. I wanted to respond to your question, We always go to Virginia beach. We love it, and its not to costly. We always stay at The Seahawk motel its not a real nice motel. But its clean, very friendly and its ocean front. Its the best for the price. They have the aquarium, a water park a motor world park. My guys love the Motor park. Theres tones of things to do. If you do deside to go let me know and Ill tell you where you can find cheaper places to eat than on the board walk. LOL. Which theres tones of places to eat there, but we like to go to a few of our normal places, and you have to know where to find them at . Good luck hope this helps...
