I'm Hurting.....help!

Hi Guys, I need some opinions. Last night I started having some abdominal pain. It was minimal. I woke up this morning and it was hurting MUCH worse. I went on to work, however everytime I drank my stomach would cramp painfully. I decided to grab a bite and that was a HUGE mistake. After the first bite the pain was so horrible I almost passed out. I went into see my surgeon and he done a ct scan and blood work and everything came back normal. So here I am at home. At the moment I have no pain, because he gave me some meds in the hospital, however I can still feel the nagging crampy pain, just not as bad just yet. Anyone else had this? I will be a year out next month. The pain is located right in the center of my stomach. Any ideas?

I had something similar to this not long ago. It would wake me up in the middle of the night and I couldn't even stand up straight. But finally it went away. I still don't know for sure what it was. I got some gas x and that helped some. I haven't had that horrible pain for a while. Could it be some sort of tummy virus? Hope it helps! Hugs Ange

Hey Girlfriend.............i to am back sic again,i go see Neighbert. He thinks i have a hernia again,that is the same pain i have.........did you go see Steiner? Just remember that all my test ct scan and ultra sound and blood work came back fine,and then they found it when they opened me up in nov. I live on pain meds and im so tired of them. I mean i am 110lbs of bones and no help from any doc. But Steiner is the best at St.Joe. I no he will take care of you.......if the pain gets real bad do like i do go get a morphine shot it does help.............call me if you need anything ok.........vickie

Thanks for the replies Ladies. Angie, I DID try the gas x but to no help. It was not really like a gas pain, but I figured it could not hurt. Vicki, I am so sorry to hear that your not feeling well again! I am seeing Doc Steiner. He said yesterday that I have to come see him Monday at his office and we would go from there. Unless the pain gets too bad then I have to go back to the hospital. They did give me a bit of pain med yesterday and that did help, but I could still feel the pain a bit, but not as bad as it was. I was atleast able to drink without it hurting so bad that I had to stop. They gave it to me via I.V. but none to bring home, he said that it may mask symptoms..lol. I told him the only symptom was everytime I moved, ate or drank, or took too deep of a breath that I hurt! So, no pain meds for me, I guess I can handle it to a point, but if it gets too bad like he said, I have to go back over. This morning it is not hurting quite as bad but I am having a bit of upset stomach though, I guess from the pain. I just had a small hernia repaired the day after Thanksgiving so I hate to think that I would have another one... Is there anything I can do to help you out? I am sure that they will fix you up right as rain very soon. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you out. I will be happy to! When do you go back to see Dr Nighbert?
