protein HELP

could anyone tell me were to get the cheaper protein, and the best taseting, thats out there? And will we do this the rest of our life? thanks

No we will not have to do this the rest of our lives, my sister had it three years ago and she has been eating normal food for over two of those. I feel the same way as I had my surgery on the 3rd. I know alot of people have talked about Walmart selling some protein for 12.00 and that is was decent, I cannot attest to this however. I also know GNC will refund your money on anything if you are not satisfied, so you could try their products risk free. I use gnc gold standard whey........it is 17$ on sale now,24gms protein,30 servings and is available in choc,carmel,strawberry,bananna ice cream flavor,and i have the choc mixed on milk and warm it slightly in the microwave. I am almost 17 mo out and i have to have protein ina shake,i am trying to maintain my weight but my doc told me that i would need this the rest of my life if i want to..........so i think some can get it all in food and some cant....................vickie

Hi Cynthia I use Body Fortress, you can get it at Wal Mart, Kroger, Target, for around $13.00...Comes in Choc, Vanilla, and fruit punch...The choc. is very good...mixes well, taste like chocolate milk...I havent tried the other flavors yet...I get most of my protein from my food now...I am 3 months out...but I do drink a shake at night if I didn't get it all in from the foods I eat...This is the best tasting that I have found...and there is 23g protein per serving....Hope this helps.
