My new Tattoo!

Hey ya'll within the next few weeks I plan on going to get my phoenix tattoo. I know I want the phoenix. I saw it on Miami Ink one night, I don't even watch that show but was flipping thru the channels and saw this gorgeous phoenix tattoo this guy was doing on this girls back. I loved it. It started at her lower back and went up the side some. I'm thinking of getting it there. I kind of want it where I can see it but if I put it on my arm it won't be as big. Any suggestions for my phoenix tat???

First off, I'm a die hard Miami Ink fan!!! I guess personally it would depend on how big you want it. Plus, do you want to hide it with "normal" clothing or would it still be visible? My tat guy told me that the back profile can change as we put on or take off weight, develop or lose muscle definition, etc. He suggested for the bigger one I want to put it on my arm somewhere, once I'm done with the big weight drop. But, sometimes, you just need enough room like the back would provide. Good luck and let us know where you end up putting it! Heya Angie, My tat guy told me pretty much the same thing as Katrinas. He suggested mine on my mid to upper back. However, you have already had a tummy tuck and things right? If so I would say go for the lower back, if thats where you want it. You shouldnt have that much weight flucuation any more I would think. I seen that tat your talking about. It is really awesome! I know a great artist, if you don't already have a tattoo person you like! Let me know and I will pass his name along!

I was thinking maybe start toward the lower back and work up to the mid back, maybe off to one side. Theres a place in town called Big Daddys and they've got a guy in there that freehanded one of Adams, my hubby, and its pretty good. I'm going to go in there this week, tell him what I want, see what he suggest, of course, see what its going to cost lol. I also want to see if I can get it done in one day. I want the big one like that girl was getting on Miami Ink. I don't want to change it to a smaller one. I want it colored in too. Bright colors!

trey (big daddy) has done a few of my tats, and done a good job. personally coming from a guy i would never suggest a female get a tat on the arm unless they are doing a sleeve, to me it is kinda butchie with a single tat on the arm. frankie

I'm not sure who done Adams out there. Its a naked woman on the inside of his arm. Its kind of tacky but its a good drawing. I think he freehanded it. My brother David knows Trey or knows of him and says he's really good. I'm not going to get the phoenix on my arm. I'd like to put it on my belly. Up and to the left of my belly button with the tail feathers coming down under my belly button. Even though I've had the excess skin removed down there I'll never have flat, tight abs like a swimsuit model. I might go in and see what the price is, if I can do it all in one day and have it colored in and where he suggest it go. Either on my lower to mid back or my tummy. The tummy was my first choice before my 3/4 of a full tummy tuck but its not as tight as I thought it would be. I don't know. I'll run in and talk to him Thursday. Thanks Angela
