Anybody have experience with Kentucky Access?

I'm new to all this and looking for info and advice. Their policy info says they won't cover it unless it "has developed to be of a life-threatending nature to the covered person." Anyboy have any experience with it? Thanks.

I had Ky Medicaid, and it was no problem at all to get approved. They said as long as it was Medically neccesary, it may have changed since then though. I'd say as long as you have a BMI of 40 or greater and a couple of Co-Morbs such as sleep apnea or diabetes that should be enough. Just a guess though. Good luck and keep us posted.

i have kentucky access insurance, and didn't have a problem with them approving it after i supplied all the info they wanted, plus i have %50 plus percent over my b.m.i and had some comalidies(sp), once i supplied the info the doctor's office submitted the work and i found out less then two weeks that i was approved. frankie
