Blood Banking Before Surgery???

My Mom asked me an important questions today about whether or not I was going to have some blood banked (just in case) for my surgery. Did any of u do this?

I didn't do this, but I'm sure that it's an option if you want to. Ask your surgeon if this is an option you could go forth with if you choose too. I remember I was told that they are pretty thorough with screening all blood and that it's perfectly safe to take donated blood. Still, it is an option for you, so be sure to ask. Good luck-- Dee
