Hi Sandy, are you sure your pouch hasn't stretched? The reason I ask is because I too had surgery in 2001 and never lost all of my weight, and then I began to gain. The first time my pouch was checked it was still ok, but I continued to eat and gain, and unfortunatly now I am having a revision. However, there were some other things but point is my pouch did stretch back out and I am able to eat a lot more than I should. Don't panic, it can be fixed. It could be several things going on. :-) tracie

Hi Sandy, I'm sure your pouch has stretched somewhat but I doubt its to the point that you can't get back on track and begin losing weight again. If I were you I'd get back to basics. Water, Protein, Vitamins, Exercise. You mentioned nothing was wrong with your operation; so we know thats not the problem. Are you eating because you're hungry or out of habit. If you're really hungry you could have a stretched stoma - in which case the food leaves the pouch faster. If you're eating out of habit I would talk to a Psychiatrist or even join Overeaters Anonymous. There is hope and you can easily get back on track. Also keep a food journal and show it to your NUT so maybe he/she could point you in the right direction. Don't give up! I hope this helps Katrina If I can help you any other way please feel free to email me!

I agree with Katrina. Try starting at the basics and go from there. If you still think you need your situation better looked into, I'd encourage to call your surgeon and maybe have some tests done. Good luck-- Dee
