I am gaining weight
Hi Sandy, are you sure your pouch hasn't stretched? The reason I ask is because I too had surgery in 2001 and never lost all of my weight, and then I began to gain. The first time my pouch was checked it was still ok, but I continued to eat and gain, and unfortunatly now I am having a revision. However, there were some other things but point is my pouch did stretch back out and I am able to eat a lot more than I should. Don't panic, it can be fixed. It could be several things going on. :-)

Hi Sandy,
I'm sure your pouch has stretched somewhat but I doubt its to the point that you can't get back on track and begin losing weight again.
If I were you I'd get back to basics. Water, Protein, Vitamins, Exercise. You mentioned nothing was wrong with your operation; so we know thats not the problem. Are you eating because you're hungry or out of habit. If you're really hungry you could have a stretched stoma - in which case the food leaves the pouch faster. If you're eating out of habit I would talk to a Psychiatrist or even join Overeaters Anonymous. There is hope and you can easily get back on track. Also keep a food journal and show it to your NUT so maybe he/she could point you in the right direction. Don't give up!
I hope this helps
Katrina
