Billy Joel concert in Nashville
My husband and I went to the concert last night. I gave him tickets at Christmas never knowing I'd be having my surgery two and half weeks before the concert date!
I was hesitant about going but it wasn't as painful as I anticipated.
We didn't stay for the entire concert (it felt like a very large, loud, boisterous frat party).
The ride home was scary! The fog was incredibly thick. It took us three hours to get home. It's usually a two-hour drive.
The best part of the whole night (other than being alone with my husband without the children for a few hours) was that I wasn't hungry. I even bought him popcorn. I wondered if the smell would tempt me, but I just wasn't hungry.
I had cranberry juice and water (between 2 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.). Not surprisingly, I woke up hungry and thirsty. I took the kids to school and went back to bed. When I woke up, it was 12:30 p.m. Again, I was hungry, but 1/2 cup mushroom gravy took care of it. Now to get in my water.
How do I make up for lost time? I really seem to have trouble drinking more than 64 oz. in a 24 hour period.
Thanks.

Hi Karen, glad u and your hubby had a great time.Adam and I try to go out every now and then and do something just the 2 of us. We haven't gotten to go out in a while. My mom is the only one around here to take care of Allison when we want to go out. I need to find a good dependable sitter lol so we can hit the movies or something. Even people thats been married awhile need to go out on dates. Its usually a 2 hour drive from us to Nashville as well. It was hard for me to get all my liquids in at first too. But it gets better. I drink all the time now. I'm always sipping on something.

Hi Angela. We have the same problem with getting a babysitter. We have 4 children, which makes it even harder! This time, my brother-in-law offered! It worked great! I'm on the hunt for a teenager! I hope you find one too!
We've just decided to reinstate our monthly "date night." It's been a few years, but we really miss the one-on-one time!
I very happy today because I lost weight. My new loss total is 15 #! I even added a ticker today. Every day is a new adventure!

Congrats on the weight loss so far that is great. I hear ya on date night. I need to find someone lol. The 13 yr old across the street from us is not dependable. She's always in trouble at school for stealing purses, running away, boys. It'd be nice if there were some good dependable kids running around here. Maybe I need to look harder.
Hugs
