Pre-op visit today

I had my surgery done in Florence, KY at St. Luke's with Dr. Thomas Sonnanstine. He was wonderful. All of the staff there is super. One of the nurses, Taryn, as also had the surgery done and looks fantastic. I want to be just like her one of these days. My surgery was on 12/13/06. I met with Dr. Tom on my first visit to the Tri-State Weight Loss Center in September 2006 and have dealt with him ever since. He gave one of the classes which showed a video of the procedures for the bypass and lap band. He answered all of our questions at that time and has had an open door policy ever since. He attends the monthly support groups. I cannot imagine not meeting the surgeon until almost the day of the surgery. That would have freaked me out. I know and trust Dr. Tom now and I have had no problems with the recovery process or with the surgery. I would recommend the TSWLC to everyone. I didn't have to lose any weight prior to my surgery though I did. Just eating at the table instead of in front of the TV and smaller meals, no drinking with the meals and using baby spoons helped me to lose 15 lbs. prior to surgery. I hope your surgery goes well. Congratulations on your surgery Tammy. I like Dr. Greenlee and you can guarantee you're in good hands! I couldn't sleep either. I ate, slept, and drank my surgery day. I was so nervous, but excited all at the same time. I don't regret a thing. St. Joes rocks! Congrats! Dee
