Reseaching Doctors

Hey KY, I know I haven't posted in a little while, But it's been hectic. I got a couple of questions. Does anyone down here in western KY know anything about Dr. William Steely At Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville Tn.? We got the Ball rolling With insurance requirements, now I'm trying to decide on Drs. Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated. I don't know anything about this hospital except what's on OH. Thanks, Don

PLease dont see Dr.Randal Bolar there,he did mine in 05 and i can tell you he does not do the same surgery that other docs do,i have beem fighting for my heatlh ever since and not to many docs in the state of ky will see me even family docs. I do no that Dr.Steely is good. But please dont settle with Bolar. He did my surgery oct 05 and 5 mo later he left town. And i never recieved any program fees back and that was 400 dollars and then i had to pay another 250 to Dr.Neighbert to take me on as a transfer patient...............please just take your time and all will work out. I no that i am one person but i no Dr.Bolar comp rate is high in ky so now he is in Tenn......................Vickie

I have heard nothing but good about Dr Steely, when I first started looking for a Dr I started out at Gateway as that is where both of my parents go for their heart. The only reason that I can't go to him to have my surgery is that they don't except my insurance. Are you here in Western Ky? I'm going to Louisville to have my surgery, my problem is that there aren't any support groups near here. This board is my support group and so far they are wonderful. Not to cause a problem with anyone but as we all know it is important to find out everything that we can so that we can feel comfortable with our Dr. There is another support group/board where you can find out about Dr Steely. Hi Don, welcome to the ky boards! Each and everyone of us (besides Vickie lol, but she has excellent reasons) will recommend our own dr's. We all love our docs. I've personally never heard of that hospital or Dr but thats not saying much. My hubby is from Trenton Ky and I think I've been to Gateway once or twice, we lived in Trenton the first year we were married and we were close to Clarksville. I just recommend researching, going with who u feel u can trust in your heart. I researched and found my dr. Mark Shina up in Louisville. He operates at Nortons Suburban and he and his staff will always have a special piece of my heart. In my mind, he's the bestest but thats only cause he's my dr. U gotta go with your gut feeling.
