bariatric event

Hey all, I try to attend any event I can to learn and to meet other folks. I know there is one coming up in N. Kentucky hosted by Tristate Surgical Weight Loss Center..Dr. Tom, ya'all hear so much about will be giving a talk..along with dieticians and psychologist from his office. I would love to meet you guys there..I ask for a schedule of the talks and was told they are working on putting it together now..hopefully I will have it soon. I know they are giving away door prizes and will have vendors in attendance, place a goodie bag with, what else?..goodies..lol I will be there..hopefully Ryan and Sarah, Jane, Amy and Chris will be attending too???? There is no cost to this event..go to the left of the page..click on Surgeons..click on Dr. Sonnanstine then go to events and meetings tab..you will see it listed for April 14th.. email me if you have any questions and I will try my best to get the answer for you.. Hi Brenda, I'm definitely planning on going. After talking about it the other week on here, it sounds like something that I can learn a lot from. And like you said, just a chance to meet other people that are interested in the same thing. If you hear something about the talks that they are having...I'd love to know what the topics will be. Hi Brenda, Don't know if I can come or not...have to work that day...But will try to be there... I am home from the hospitol. Got home about an hour ago...Everything went well...Just sore and have a lot of Gas....No hernia's but 2 bowel obstructions from the adhesions from previous surgeries not related to WLS...if I have this problem again Dr. Tom said that he could not fix it laproscopic...will have to do it open ...that I have more adhesions than he has ever seen and that it would not be safe to do it laproscopic.....So I just pray that I dont have any more problems with this... He is so wonderful...Wasnt sure if Sarah called you or not...but you can call my cell phone if you want to... Amy

Brenda, Is this event strictly for Dr. Tom's patients or is it an open house type event? Mike and I would love to come up and (if he has the day off) and possibly meet you guys. Plus it is a bonus to have the different events to learn stuff about the surgery. Dee

Hi Dee This is an open event to anyone...all they ask is that you pre-register for seating purposes.. I hope to see you there definately ask around for me at the registration desk, they will know who I am. Brenda
