very well said Chris.. and I can't believe how much you have lost...when you get as far out as me you forget what it's like losing so quickly. I am still amazed at this surgery. I can't wait to see you this week, maybe I won't recognize you ..you are gonna be so much smaller than last time. Brenda

Hey Melanie Welcome and what a great choice you have made. I now can ride bikes, jog, jump rope with my girls, play kick ball, have my husband carry me like a baby and so much more. My surgery was 18mths ago by Dr. Tom. I can not say enough about this man who has given me my life back and my children a healthy and active mom and my husband now has a wife who can move and isn't always too tired or just feels bad. I too was scared and that is normal. Go through the program and take your husband with you as much as possible. It is hard on the family around us. The people who didn't want me to have the surgery became my biggest cheerleaders. My husband said the same this yours said, " what ever you want that will make you happy". So here I am. My heaviest was 311. The day of surgery I was 296 and today I am 153. I have gone from a size 28 to size 6--8 pants and medium tops. But the best thing is I feel great. The first few weeks is hard but it is nothing like I thought it would be. Read, read, and read some more that is what I did. Good luck Jane
