as you all know I am moving to ky in end Of June is Ft. Campbell closer to Lex or fort knox? just trying to see what the next close bace is to lexington ? thnks

Yeah but Ft Knox is in the middle of nowhere! Had to travel there many times for my son. Welcome to KY!

Rebecca, Fort Campbell is about 3 hours from Fort Knox. Fort Knox is 15 minutes north of Elizabeththown and 45mins to an hour south of Louisville. Welcome to Kentucky. Look forward to chatting with you.

hey Rebecca did you ever find a group to meet up with? I see that the center for weight loss at St. Josephs has a monthly meeting. I am not sure about Georgetown, Bluegrass Bariactrics, having an actual support grou*****t. I see from there website they have a support group that has a webforum but no actual meeting that I saw listed. Maybe one of there members can step in an shed light on this and if you could attend either group. Now if a little quick trip up to Florence is not out of the question. You could come to the support group meeting we have at St. Luke. I know you would be welcome there. We meet on the last tuesday of the month... or is that the fourth Tuesday. The first two should be a quick trip for you when you and your DH move to the Lexington area. The Florence group would be about a 75-90 min drive depending upon the lead in your foot. Hope this helps. Maybe you might come up our way and visit, you would love to meet the bunch we have get together.

Hello Rebecca! Welcome to Ky The Bariatric Center @ Georgetown Community Hospital does have weekly and monthly support group meetings. We have weekly meetings, Tuesdays @ 11:30am for LAPBAND pre and post ops., and Fridays @ 10am for RNY pre and post ops., the meetings are held here at the Hospital on our Bariatric Care Unit. Then once a month we have a support group meeting at the Scott County Library here in Georgetown. This month it is Tuesday evening the 17th at 6:30pm. If you would like to contact The Center we can give you a copy of our monthly schedule so that once you get here and get settled you can attend. We would love to see you there!! Tonya L.
