Whats Next???

I have my psych and nutri visit next thursday on the 19th. Yipee. Had my blood work done this week. Got the letters and records that the doc needed. I have to see the Pulmonary doc before the surgery. Will that be right before the surgery? I'm getting closer.

I have my psych visit the 12th and the nut visit on the 18th, so we are close timeline wise. After I see the nut, then insurance will be filed and I will start a series of 4 classes (one a month.) If insurance doesn't try to scam me, then surgery will be scheduled probably some time in June. MElanie g.

Why do you have to take classes?

Cynthia the classes we take are to better prepare you for life after surgery. One class is a video class with Dr. Tom showing a video of both a RNY and a lapband procedure being done. HE explains what happens and why he does things, so that you have a better understanding of what happens while you are under.

One of the classes is also a tasting testing of all the nastiest things they could find!! LOL just teasing but it saved me alot of money on things that I would have never drank! Two of the classes are on how you will handle the head hunger and stress management after surgery. Eating that bag of cookies is no longer an option so what now? By thinking about how you will handle stress, you can come up with alternate plans and be prepared.
