Hello

I went to the doctors yesterday at Ft Campbell to discuss my optons for gastric bypass I had been dreading it so bad I was so afraid I would get the run around about trying harder to loose the weight But I went there they said I qualify for the GBS they did an EKG I go back for labs tomorrow and they are setting up a sleep apnia test and an appt with a cardioligist . so WOW I had no Idea it would be this easy Im floored .

Hi Pam, Welcome to the Kentucky board and congrats on your decision to have surgery. I had surgery last November and it was the best, though hardest, decision I've ever made. Keep us posted on your progress! Chris

Welcome to the boards Pam! I was floored too when I was immediately approved for my surgery! It happened so fast and now here I sit 6 months out, 102lbs. lighter, and feeling better than I did 8 months ago. It's completely normal to feel nervous. I was petrified when they wheeled me into the surgery suite, but I was very fortunate to have a great team working with my surgeon. I had some good mojo injected into my system and before I knew it, I was finished with the whole ordeal. Congratulations to you and again, welcome to the boards! Dee

It is scary whenit goes too fast but buckle in and hang on. Military systems move quickly on some things and drag on others. Tricare approved me within 2 days once they got all the tests and paperwork. Good luck!
