Is there any one here from the Ft Campbell area who has had GBS I need help picking a surgeon I would really like to know any one who has had it done in this area and if they were happy with the doctor or not happy

Hi Pam, I'm not from the Ft. Campbell area so I don't have any suggestions of who you should see....however speaking to your PCP and asking for suggestions might be a place to start. Chris

Pam...here is something that might help..I found out that Blanchfield Army Hospital does perform RNY gastric bypass surgery ( I don't know if they also do lapband or not)...here is the phone number 270-798-4766 --- Dr. Sanborn was there, but not sure since Iraq many surgeons are sent there or go back and forth..I would suggest you call the base hospital for more info. If you are civilian..let me know I can give you names of surgeons in the area. Brenda

Hi I called Tricare and they said that I would my refferral would be for a surgeon off post .Im a military spouse . so if you know of a good surgeon let me know I know they will give me a list of surgeons I just dont know how to go about choosing one

I live in NKY but it would depend on if you were looking for someone on the base or not. Knowing what I do now, I would have made the drive here to use my doctor. I know patients come from 2-3 states away to have him.
