what to do..what to do....
HI to all!! I have an issue......I am 3 weeks out today and this last week I never lost a pound!! I have done everything I am supposed to and havent varied! I know that sometimes this happens but what can I do to speed up the process?? I just want a steady loss..not expecting a miracle..just a steady loss...and another question...is there such a thing as drinking to much water??? I drink well more than my 64oz of fluids could that be a problem? i get my protein and most of the time at least 2 meals a day sometimes 3 but always more than 64 oz of fluid..could that be a real issue?
I would love some advice.......i just feel like things arent happening very fast and i expect sooo much better results.......Anyone out there with any advice????????

THanks Amy! I expect some stalls...but then again I also expect a little loss even 1 lb. but tonight i was very discouraged and a little upset about it so when i sat down to eat i also had 1/2 of a small potato (not good i know) i had made a roast & potato's but not much but enough....and i am kinda scared..i dont want to fall into the same ole pattern after all that i have been thru....
as for the water???......do you think that there is such a thing about getting to much???? i dont know i guess i'm just looking for some sort of reasoning....thanks again!! Cheryl
Hello Cheryl,
I am not understanding...have you not lost weight at all or not since your first weigh-in? Stalls are a natural process and happen often. They have happened to me and my husband, (both patients of Doc Steiner too) but have passed eventually. I wouldn't worry about them at this point, because like another poster pointed out, your body is just trying to adjust to what you've done to it. What your experiencing is natural, really.
As far as drinking too much water, you're probably doing just fine with it. As long as your not gulping it, only sipping slowly throughout the day. Your water shouldn't be an issue, but if your concern, please call Amanda, she will be glad to help you.
After my surgery, I was averaging anywhere from 84-102oz of water a day. This included all my fluids and water intake. I always had something in my hand to drink. I remember calling Amanda up right afterwards, asking her the same question you put forth here. I was told I was doing fine, as long as I wasn't gulping it all at once. (my concern was stretching my pouch)
I hope that helps you some. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a PM and we can talk.
Good luck to you--
Dee

At three weeks you are meeting all your goals is wonderful! I am 7 month sout and still struggle with getting either the protein or the fluids. It seems days are either one or the other.
Having a BM is a valid question too. I will not go for a couple of days and then go for hours it seems, but will drop a couple of pounds (guess I am full of it at times!)
Just keep following the program and don't let bad habits creep in when you are down.
