I swear, our cat Merlin seems like he's human sometimes. He and Allison are always irritating one another. If she's being good and leaving him alone, he'll trot by her and do something to bug her. He's not the type of cat that likes to be picked up or held. There are times if I'm sitting and reading he'll jump up in my lap and lay down. When he wants to be loved on he'll come around. He's even crazy enough to let Allison love on him sometimes. Adam aggravates him. He'll wrestle with Merlin with his foot and Merlin always grabs onto Adams leg and holds on like he's tearing him up, he has no front claws. He has bitten Adam before. Adam wonders why Merlin won't get into his lap, well, I wonder??? If someone aggravated me all the time I wouldn't want be around them. Of course, this ignorant cat loves it, he'll come around Adam when Adam's leaving him alone and just lay down right in front of him and squish his tail just so Adam knows to bug him. Sometimes when we're walking across the floor Merlin will come out of no where and grab our legs. He doesn't bite, he just does it when he's feeling frisky and playful. Of course, it will scare u to death when its in the middle of the night, all the lights are off and u r up getting a drink of water and this crazy, fruity cat comes flying out of nowhere to jump on your leg. Today it was funny. Allison hasn't been feeling good today, she's got a cold and kind of cranky. I guess Merlin got tired of being ignored. She had gotten up, went to the fridge to get her tea, walked back thru to the living room, and he grabbed her. She jumped of course, turned around and was waving her hand at him, he thought she was playing so he jumped up on her shoulder. He's not a small cat, he's quite chunky. It scared her, but he was playing, he didn't bite or scratch her. He's such a nutty cat. She then decided once he took a nap to bug him. Sometimes I think I have 4 kids instead of just James and Allison. Adam and the cat are like kids too. Just thought I'd share. Sometimes this cat cracks me up, unless its the times he's jumping on me. If I don't feed him at certain times at night, he'll reach out and grab my leg as I walk thru the kitchen, then he'll run into the laundry room where his food is. He's too smart for his own good. Everyone have a great night!

Ange, That's hilarious! I love reading kitty-treats! I have one Wubbytubby and she does the same thing! (her pic is in my profile--took some on vet day) The only difference is when she's at the back of your heals, it's her way of telling you it's pate' time! And she does nibbit the ankles. (while cussin' ya too!) Anyhoot, thanks for sharing! How ya doing? Dee

These crazy furbabys, what would we do with out them? I'm doing great. Adam is never romantic, well hardly ever and this morning in my bday card he wrote me a poem. I told him that means more than anything money can buy, especially when it doesn't happen often.

Don't 'cha love it when guys do the poem thing? Mike has only ever written me one poem and it was when he was trying to get me to go out with him. He sent me an email with this God-awful poem, but it's one of the best poems I have in my possession. When we hooked up, he showed me the piece of paper he wrote it on and to this day, I keep it in my wallet. No guy before him (or after) has ever written me a poem. It's the bestest, awfullest, most touching, poem ever! He had me hook, line, and sinker! My guy is a southern, country, Mississippi guy, so I bet him and Adam have a lot in common as far as mushy stuff goes. I'm glad you had a nice birthday! Dee
