Insurance confusing me

Hello Tori!
I want to welcome you to the Ky boards!
Well in answer to your question--
I am not familiar with the NBAA. However, I too have been in a situation where I was told something and instantly thinking it was too-goo-to-be-true. In some of these cir****tances I've been right, it was too-good-to-be-true, but in others it wasn't.
I am an pessimist, there is no doubt about it. Try hard as I might, I can not even begin to imagine what life would be like as an optimist. I have had my few fleeting moments when I've been able to see the glass half full and as I get older, I'm seeing the sunny side of life a little more.
Just try and take it for what it is. If they're telling you they will help you, then enjoy the moment of being helped. Perhaps to make you feel better, ask them to send you something in writing giving you that *yes*. Perhaps it will make it all the more concrete for you in your mind.
I hope that you get the help you need to have this surgery. It's real hard to know this is the answer, but not really have any way to help pay for it. Believe me, I understand this completely. It was only a short time ago when I first started researching the surgery, I realized I hadn't any insurance to cover it, let alone the money to pay for it.
I ended up having to just hold off at the time. (a good thing really, because I ended up with an awesome Dr.--one thing that wouldn't have happened had I did it then)
Good luck to you and please keep us posted on your progress!
Take care--
Dee
