After the diet and psych eval. how long before surgery?

Hi all, I'm new here. I had my diet and psych evaluation on april 13 at Norton. My doc will be Dr. Geller, does anyone have any idea how long it will be before I get an initial consult with him? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks All! I'm really pumped and READY to join the "losers".

Hi I had my psych and diet on Monday, I can not wait for them to call me with an appt. Dr. Geller is my Dr. As well I have read nohing but good things about him. I called the dr's office and they said that they receive the packets on Friday. trish

Thats great, then they should have our charts tomorrow. At my diet and psych eval. friday, I ask Rita (Receptionist) how long before the surgery so I could arrange my schedule for school this summer. She said it should only be a few months. So apparently she was right because someone left a reply to my post and they also had Dr. Geller and her psych eval. was on December 7th and her surgery date was Jan 31st. Trish, They called me today too and my consult is also on 4/30 so I guess I'll see you there. yippie :cool:

I had my diet and psych evaluation on Dec. 7th and then got in to see Dr. Geller on Dec. 19, 2006. My insurance approved me on Dec. 22, 2006 and my surgery date was Jan. 31, 2007. They usually schedule about a month out so you can get your appointments done with the cardiologist, and the pulmonary doctor. Also so you can get all of your labs and have one final little seminar with the surgical nurse and another dietician. So it won't be long now ladies. Dr. Geller is the best you are in great hands. You will both be pleased you have chosen him. Good luck and keep positive. Jeri

Not a problem Sandy glad I could help. They called me from Dr. Gellers office and told me that I was approved and that they were sending me out a packet of papers to fill out along with all of the appointment dates that I needed for the cardiologist, pulmonary drs and labs. His office took care of all of that. So don't worry I'm sure they will let you know what is going on when the time gets closer. I go to his office for my 3 month Post Op on the 26th of this month hopefully your date will be that close.
