Eastern KY Support Group!!

After multiple attempts to contact someone at the Prestonsburg/Floyd County library, I finally reached someone today. The date for our first group meeting will be Thursday, May 10, at 6:00 pm, at the Floyd County Library. If this conflicts with anyone's schedule, please let me know ASAP. The library is open later on Tuesdays, but the meeting room is booked on Tuesdays. The only requirement to use the meeting room is that I have to be at the library before closing time to pick up a key. I'll get there around 4:45 to get the key and come back before 6 to have the meeting. I think our first meeting will be a meet & greet to see how much interest we have. So, bring yourself & anyone else that has had surgery, is interested in surgery, or someone that you just grab off the street!! Hope to see you there. Ok I think I might like to come, but where is the library? I live in Johnson county and Thursday just happens to be my day off. My email addy is [email protected]. I need to get a yahoo one I guess..LOL

The address on the website (www.fclib.org) is 161 N Arnold Ave. From a Mapquest pic, it looks like the library is located close to Century 21. If you take the Prestonsburg exit off 23 that is closest to the post office, go toward town, past Archer Park, and just before hitting Lake Drive, take a right onto the side street right before Lake Drive. This might be a one way street, so you may have to go right on Lake Drive and circle back around. If this is the wrong location, someone please let me know... or I'll be lost, too!

If you can find the PCC campus, then you can find the library. If you know where the campus is and can't find the library, leave me a message on here and I'll meet you at the college and you can follow me to the library!

I checked mapquest, and it looks like the library is across the 4-lane street from Century 21. Is that right? It's saying Arnold Avenue, and I think Arnold Avenue runs behind Century 21. It's not on the college campus, is it?

Oh no, I was just stating the easiness of finding it. In Prestonsburg, do you know where the stores Little Rascals and Lad and Lassie are? That corner that you immediately come up on, turn right. Its right on that road on the left side. Those shops are almost right across from the court house . If anyone needs to meet me somewhere in P-burg, just leave me one and I'll help ya :D
