Sonnastine Question
Just to add to comments made here. It's true the staff at the office are St. Luke employees and not employees of the doctor. This also means Dr. Sonnanstine and Taryn are both employees...The amount of employees hired is entirely up to the hospital and not Dr. Sonnanstine. My suggestion would be to send correspondence to the hospital asking why he has such a small staff? am sure Dr. Sonnanstine would not mind..lol
The other thing is to realize there are many other patients and as Jane stated Kristine also deals with appeals and other claims daily...Often times the insurance company will throw things back asking for more information and more information. I pushed and complained and called constantly, it still took me 6 months to get my approval (I did not have Dr. Sonnanstine as my surgeon, he wasn't in town by then)
The other thing is that many of his patients on the boards know Dr. Sonnanstine reads post when he can..However, he is on vacation and out of town this week..otherwise I am sure he would have seen and checked into this post..Please be patient and give them a chance to work with you.. and then keep us informed of how things are going..don't get frustrated, it will happen..then suddenly you wonder where the time went and if you are ready....
the wait is worth it..
if I can help you through the wait, please contact me..

I'm not frustrated yet. What I am hearing consistently is that I will have to be on top of it and call their office a lot. As a nurse myself, that would bug the crap out of me.
Would it not be easier to just have a timeline to give to patients instead of just 'be patient'? Like, "please wait 4 weeks (or whatever) from your psych appt for insurance to be filed before calling the office."
Anyway, the calls will have to start next week. I have a daughter graduating this weekend!
Whoooo Hooooo!
(Only 3 more kids to go............)
