dr. dwayne smith

Anyone out there had the lapband with Dr. smith...My date is may 16th and i am getting nervous...My PCP had wanted dr. sonnastine but my insurance said no...All i hear is great things about sonnastine and now i am sorry i maybe didn't fight the insurance company....

I didn't have lapband, but I did have Dr. Smith for my surgery and I think you will be fine. No worries!!!!!! As Dr. Smith being my surgeon, I love him to death. He is so kind, and nice. He will do anything to help you. I don't know if this helps, but that is my opinon. Did you take to him about how you feel? I am sure he will clear things for you to make your mind at ease. The most important thing is for YOU to feel comfortable with him. Research Research Research. Most of the surgeons on here have a link to their website. Read the patient testimonials and try to talk to his patients. I really think that most people think THEIR surgeon is the BEST. I am no different....I think that Dr. Sonnanstine is the best in N. KY and possibly the best in the Greater Cincinnati area. I have heard things about other doctors in this area and I am sure that someone out there could say something about my doctor as well. Just go with your gut...if you have any doubts after meeting him, talking to him and hearing about how he does surgery....look for someone else. If you are comfortable and feel good....he is your surgeon. I met Dr. Sonnanstine and was not worried about anything at all. No kidding!! Good luck to you!!
