Dr. Gellar and Insurance

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some answers that hopefully someone here knows. I went to the seminar last week but very few questions were answered. I want to have the lap-band surgery done, my bmi is 46.6, I have no co-morbs, other than high cholestrol and severe headaches. Anyway, my questions are-I have medicare part A and B- does anyone know if they will pay for this surgery? If so, how long does it take to get approved? Do you have to pay a lot of money before hand? Such as, co-pays for the hospital, doctors office, etc? or do you only pay the $100? Last question were you happy with Dr. Gellar? Thanks for any insight- Sandy

Hi Sandy, I don't know anything about your Medicare...but I am sure you can call Denise Spears and she will be able to tell you. Her number was in the packet they gave out I'm sure if not I believe it is 629-3374. As far as Dr. Geller he is the best possible choice for a surgeon. He will explain everything to you, help you with any questions and he is the sweetest, friendliest doctor you could ever hope to have. Hi Sandy Yes I am on medicare and it pays and they have no diets frist or anything. I find them very easy to deal with. Northons is also approved by Medicare.
