Well I saw my cardiologist today and he will not ok surgery for me until he has done a heart catherazation (which is being scheduled for this Thursday). He is not happy about me having the surgery at all. So, at this time, I don't know if I will even get to have it or not. There have been several events happen lately that certainly have not been favorable for me to have the surgery. My blood pressure is staying high even though I am on blood pressure meds, my cardiologist changed that med today. I will keep you all posted on the situation as right now I don't know what will happen. Blessings to all. Janice

Oh Janice it breaks my heart to hear about all the troubles your under. I will pray for you. Keep your faith everything does happen for a reason. The first time I tryed about fives years back they found lung cancer. In time that I had part of a lung removed. But soon enough that I did not have to take any treatment. I just know it will work for you just try to relax and not get to stressed out about it. That might be why your B/P is high. If you need to talk let me know and I would be more than glad to call you. Hang in there girl. You will beat this. My heart Dr. told me this is the best thing I could ever do for myself. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I had to get a heart cath prior to surgery. When my x-ray was taken, there was a false positive because of (get this) my big boobs. Evidently some of the breast tissue either indicated there was something going on with my heart, or it blocked a view to my heart. If you haven't had a heart cath before, it's not too bad. I was a little sore getting up & down, but the procedure was outpatient and I didn't know what was going on during the whole thing. I thought I'd be sedated, but they knocked me out... which was a good thing! I think I was off work one day for the cath, and one additional day for the soreness. Good luck to you & I hope that your cardio will approve SOMETHING for you. April

I've had two previous heart catherazations and they were normal. When I had a stress test and echocardiagram in October 2006, it was abnormal and they did not know if it was my "big boobs" or not. I also have mitral valve prolapse. When I saw my cardiologist in October and talked to him about the weight loss surgery, he seemed to think it was a good idea, now he is not very happy about it. I don't know what is going on. My blood pressure is running 165/110 and has for a month now- he changed my blood pressure medicine. I see my PCP in the morning for my three month diabetes check up. I feel like crap and am more active now than I have been in several years. I mow the lawn (although my pulmonary dr has told me not to know that I have asthma) have been planting bushes and flowers - I am always on the go and feel worse now. The fibromyalgia is flaring like crazy, my nerves are shot - I think I need a really long vacation by myself. I love my kiddos but they are a hand full!! I don't even know if I will get clearance for nursing school or not, (which I will talk to the cardiologist about thursday). Oh yes, my heart catherazation is scheduled for this Thursday morning at 6:00 A.M.!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please keep me in prayers. Janice
